KNOWN AS TRITOMA, TORCH LILY OR RED HOT POKER. KNIPHOFIA IS AN INDIGENOUS PERENNIAL AND IT'S FLOWER SPIKES CAN GROW TO 1 1/2 METRES. COLOURS ARE RED, ORANGE AND YELLOW. IT REQUIRES FULL SUN AND ADEQUATE SPACE SINCE SOME PLANTS CAN GROW QUITE WIDE. MOIST, WELL DRAINED SOIL IS PREFERRED BUT, ONCE ESTABLISHED IT IS QUITE DROUGHT TOLERANT.
