You are buying one Konus Campus 5306 Binocular Microscope kit. The kit is in excellent condition, hardly used. I bought this for photomicrography (included are adapters for use with Canon DSLR) but never got around to it. A powerful microscope perfect for any university student or anyone interested in microscope work.
Please note: this listing is for PICK UP only, in JHB as the item is very heavy and all contents too fragile to trust sending via post or courier. Arrangements for collection is the responsibility of the buyer.
You get the following:
1x Konus Campus 5306 Binocular microscope - 360° revolving binocular head and inter-pupillary distance regulation, supplied with two 10x WF eyepieces and four achromatic objectives: 4x, 10x, 40x, 100x. Double focusing regulation, micrometrical and macrometrical, movable stage with micrometric movements. End-stop to ward off slide crash. Light intensity regulation. Transmitted light illumination with A.N. 1.2 condenser, with iris diaphragm and filter-holder, halogen bulb, 12V/12W, antidust cover.
1x Celestron #44412 100 prepared slides in a wooden box
1x Konus 5126 photo adapter
1x T/2 mount ring for Canon DSLR
60+ Karter Scientific blank glass slides
60+ Karter Scientific glass cover slips for slides
10x plastic pipettes
1x case with accessories for slide preparation (scissors, scalpel etc)
2x plastic microscope slide boxes (contains one slide with lizard skin shedding)
1x set of filters for microscope
2x extra bulbs
Containers for eye pieces and oil for slide preparation
You don't need to have a DSLR to take photos or videos through the microscope. I have used a point and shoot to take photos and videos (through the eye piece without the adapter and ring). Below is an example of a photo taken using the adapter and ring with a DSLR (Basswood stem, included in the Celestron prepared slides).
If you enjoy exploring the hidden world, then this kit is for you.
