Collectors South Africa vinyl LP Koos Kombuis Niemandsland SHIB 35 Shifty Label 1989
During the tumult of the 80′s Koos Kombuis released a seminal album called Niemandsland (No man’s land). The work was part of the opening up in Afrikaans culture: the so-called the Voëlvry movement. The content of the record was considered worse than liberal, it was downright subversief! But the album title itself was incendiary. To many Afrikaner Nationalists it was literally an article of faith that all of South Africa had been given by God to Afrikaners.
