Description
Small, natural and weathered fragment of meteorite. The piece is slightly magnetic

History
Searching for Gideon iron meteorite, a farmer found a 22 kg stone and 11 smaller pieces totalling 18kg in a dry river bed. Subsequently people searching with metal detectors recovered hundreds of buried pieces within 50m from the original material. These pieces were more weathered and brings the total recovery to 120kg and 130kg. The largest piece was used in a garden wall until 2000.
