Koret 127 is a rare camera made in Italy for 3x4 cm exposures on 127 film it also had a holding bay for a spare roll inside the camera, It had a simple shutter single speed with B, and came with a fixed focus Korrect f8.8/50mm lens, Made by Alpha Photo Company in Piacenza Italy c1950
The Alpha Photo company was located in Piacenza, Italy. It produced cameras in the 1950's. Little is known about this company and their product line. The only camera attributed to the firm is the Ikorette camera which was soon changed to Koret. Theories circulating the camera community cited the possibly of a copyright issue based on similarity to the previously established "Icarette" camera. What ever the reason the name was changed to Koret and most surviving examples bare this name.
The Ikorette camera was constructed of a rigid metal body covered with leatherette. It was fitted with a fixed focus Perkeus Extra Yz f9 lens and a simple single speed shutter with B. The camera took 4.5Ã3 cm exposures on No. 127 roll film.
