KOSTA BODA Glass Dish : Friday - (Was a Volvo gift to an important client)

A stunning Scandinavian art glass dish designed by the renowned Bertil Vallien and produced by the quality makers Kosta Boda, Sweden - This is part of his day series. Vallien took each day of the week as the inspiration for for the central motif in each of the seven dishes in the series. This one is entitled "Friday" and features two faces in profile.The faces are framed within a square which forms the base of the dish. This fabulous piece has a wonderfully contemporary clean-lined form, a magnificent sparkle and impressive crystal clear clarity. A light texture to the under side of the dish beautifully enhances the stunning sparkle.  This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece measures approx 105mms square and stands 45mms tall.
