JOKOTO
Predecessor to the Katana are straight swords from the Ancient sword period called Jokoto or Chukuto which came from China and Korea to Japan before the 10th century. The blades are straight with a Hira-zukuri and later Kiri-ha cross section. The sword style below is an influence from the Jokoto with a slight curve.
