At Krosno and Józefina workshops, any bowl mounted on long flowing curved glass tentacles is informally called a jellyfish design because:
the shallow round bowl resembles a jellyfish cap
the curled applied glass supports look like trailing tentacles
the clear and white colour combination is also typical of jellyfish themed glass
A striking hand blown art glass centrepiece made by Józefina from the Krosno glassworks in Poland. The bowl is crafted in opaque white glass and supported on an artistic free form clear glass stem with white applied threading. The design is sculptural and flowing with the white spiral lines carried through the base and stem. A genuine example with the original Józefina label still attached. The piece displays beautifully and makes an elegant standalone décor feature.
