'n Geskiedenis met smulresepte. Skaars.

Hierdie boek is meer as net n resepteboek. Dis n reis deur ouma se kombuis en n reis deur ons Afrikaner geskiedenis. Die hele boek is gedruk op sagter papier en al die fotos is in sepia (bruinerige verouderde) kleur gedruk. Daar word ook fotos van ander huisraad soos stowe en strykysters uit die verlede gewys. Ook interessante ou advertensies, boererate (soms nog in ou Nederlands om aan te pas by die verouderde voorkoms van die boek. SOmmige resepte is sommer nog in die handskrif van iemand uit die verlede alles is so nostalgies. Daar is tot n ou storietjie (met n foto) van oom Andries van den Heever van Petrusburg wat so met sy gewig gesukkel het.
