The ME-1 Micro Ensemble houses 256 top-notch sounds in a highly affordable half-rack package. Surprisingly, these samples have not been cut down - - they're taken straight from the far-more-expensive PC2 series and include favorites like the acclaimed Stereo Triple Strike Piano, Take 6 Vocals, excellent String patches, and loads more, including realistic multi-strike Rhodes™ and Wurlitzer™ electric pianos, Organ, Harpsichord, Clav, Vibes, Marimba, Electric and Acoustic Bass (with and without layered Ride Cymbal), Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Drums, Percussion, Synth Pads. and Brass. 32-voice polyphony can be spread over as many as 16 simultaneous MIDI channels. The Effects section is simple yet useful; choose one global effect from the eight Reverbs and one Chorus. Wet/dry is separately adjustable for the reverb and chorus, and the effect can be selected via MIDI. A Transposition function ranges from an octave down to an octave up. A headphone jack and Left/Mono and Right audio outs complete this afforable, compact unit.
