The Kuwait Liberation Medal Set was issued to all branches of the US Military for participation in Operations Desert Shield or/and Desert Storm. Original Medal in box as issued. Instituted in 1995
The medal was instituted in July of 1994 by the government of Kuwait for members of the United States military who participated in Operations Desert storm and Desert Shield from 1990 to 1993. On March 16, 1995, the secretary of Defense authorized the acceptance and wearing of the Kuwait Liberation medal by members of the Armed Forces of the United States.
