The Taurus PT99 is a Brazilian made clone of the original Italian Beretta M92 manufactured in the mid 70’s. Chambered in 9mm this semi automatic pistol had the same weight, balance, capacity and performance of the higher priced M92. The Taurus pistols were even manufactured in a factory which was previously owned by Beretta. Their inexpensive price tags and many appealing finishes made them an instant hit.
This highly detailed KWC replica of the Brazilian beauty is fully licensed by Taurus and features authentic markings and sequential serial numbers. The trademarks are laser etched into the metal and even the grips have a raised emblem giving it a convincingly realistic appearance. We should point out that even though Cybergun calls this a PT99 it is technically a PT92 since it has fixed combat sights where as the PT99 would have had an adjustable rear sight.
With a full metal frame, slide and barrel the PT99 is the exact weight of a real loaded PT99 to the ounce. All of the controls function like the real steel and it even field strips the exact same way. It also features a railed frame which allows for the mounting of an optional flashlight or laser sight to customize your pistol.
This model does have one trick up its sleeve which the real pistol doesn’t have. If you push down on the safety lever the PT99 switches to full automatic and is capable of spitting out 15 shots per second. Recoil is fast and strong making this a very enjoyable gun to shoot.
