• Glutathione can prevent LDL oxidation, a known risk factor in heart disease.

• Glutathione may inhibit platelet aggregation and improve haemostatic and haemorrheological factors in atherosclerosis.

Detoxification

• Glutathione is required for substance detoxification within the liver, by a process called conjugation.
