La Cote D’Azur is close to the seaside town of Margate and there is a shuttle service to and from Margate airport for guests. Margate Main Beach is extremely safe for swimming, and in-season there are always beach sports and activities as well as a buzzing night-life along the promenade.
The province of Kwazulu-Natal and Margate offer a wealth of excellent attractions, activities and events all year round. It’s well worth renting a car to explore the surrounding attractions like the Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve and the Riverbend Crocodile Farm. The Lake Eland Game reserve is just 25 miles from Margate and is can be combined with a trip to the Oribi Gorge for a spectacular day out. If you can drag yourself away from the main beach at Margate (Blue Flag) you can meander through the town with its quaint art shops, casual seafood cafes and excellent restaurants. The Hibiscus Mall is close to Margate and offers visitors big name brand shopping as well as excellent grocery shops.
