Ever since we launched our first putter, Directed Force, golfers have beenasking if we could make it less weird. DF3 is that putter.DF3 still does everything golfers love about the original. It stays square byitself. It's still irrationally forgiving on mishits. But there's a lot less tothink about.The DF3 is entirely CNC milled from 6061 aluminum, with 8 screws on the bottommade of steel or tungsten in various densities to precisely target swing weightand lie angle balance each putter.Machined right here in the good ol' U.S.A., each head is then assembled andhand-balanced at our factory in Creswell, Oregon.ARMLOCK/BROOMSTICK BUILDSThe head shape of DF3 ArmLock/Broomstick builds is the same from the top view asstandard builds. The height of the putter heads has been increased by 13% to addthe necessary weight to these longer-length putters. ArmLock/Broomstick buildsalso include four more weight ports for Lie Angle Balance tuning and the bottomof the sole has more curvature to help these generally more upright puttersmaintain optimal performance on uneven surfaces.WE LISTENEDEver since we launched our first putter, Directed Force, golfers have beenasking if we could make it less weird. We took a chisel tothe original Lie Angle Balanced putter to make DF3 smaller and sleeker whilehonoring the shape of the putter that started it all for us.DF3 still does everything golfers love about the original. But DF3 is going to be alot more happy-making to the vast majority of golfers because it sets up cleanand feels and sounds like a dream.WE LEARNEDLie Angle Balance is the new frontier of putting. It has the power to resurrectcareers on tour and make putting fun for the rest of us. Scientifically, it justmakes more sense. But designing a Lie Angle Balanced putter? Not so simple.Other companies have the benefit of creating a pretty putter head and thenadding in any shaft or grip. We don't do that.Lie Angle Balance has to be considered in every aspect of the design. And theneach individual L.A.B. Golf putter, including DF3, has to be hand-balanced by avery skilled and highly trained human.We've learned so much over the years building Lie Angle Balanced putters, and itgave us a leg up in the DF3 design. We love every putter we've created, but inthe past we had to make compromises around looks and sound to make putters LieAngle Balanced. We didn't have to do that with DF3.THE PERFORMANCE IS CRAZY TOOThrough a few important design tricks, we were able to make DF3 performessentially the same as Directed Force. Like Directed Force, DF3 is "fullyautomatic." That means you're going to get the full experience of DF3 wanting toguide itself on the correct path on the way back and through.Just like the original, mishits effectively don't matter. Putts hit on the heeland toe will roll a lot like those hit off the center. There's just less tothink about on the golfer side with DF3.
