A quick history about us so that you can buy with peace of mind, Louis Shoes was established in Wynberg, Cape Town in 1936, selling affordable family and fashion footwear, today Louis Shoes is being managed by a third generation member of the family, recently the original Wynberg store was closed and we now trade from our central Cape Town based store in the heart of Cape Towns central business district. Our motto over the years has always been and still is to look after the customer as you the customer has always been valued as the most important part of our business - so no matter if you buy in-store or on-line you will be treated as a most valued customer and we will strive to make you happy with your purchase.
Shipping charges have been a big concern for us when looking into selling online - we notice many sellers profiting and marking up their shipping fees and taking advantage of their online customers by charging more than they should - they justify their heavy shipping charges by saying that their shipping costs are not limited only to postage and that they include not only the shipping costs but also packaging, admin, and handling costs, we feel that these extra costs they are referring to are just the normal costs of running a business and should not be added into the costs at the end of a sale - imagine you went to buy at a shop and on checkout you are told "sorry we have to now add in extra costs for our rental, staff, electricity etc" those costs are already taken into consideration and are part of the businesses selling prices. We have taken a stand to be completely transparent with our shipping charges and to only charge what we actually pay at the post office for postage. Shipping charges at the post office are worked out by either the weight or the size of the package - the greater of the two is charged for - and insurance is optional and only charged for the amount you paid for the shoes.
We want you to be happy with your purchase from us, if for any reason you are not than please post the shoes back to us and we will give you a full refund (unfortunately postage is at your your expense).
