A wonderfully appointed lady's travelling case from 1915, complete with all the original fittings in hallmarked silver (the silver is dated Birmingham, 1915).
The blue leather case measures 46cm x 33cm x 14cm and is in good condition, with some reinforcing stitched on at a later date to two of the bottom corners, and a couple of minor scuffs. The inside is in good condition, with some age staining to the lining as well as some damage to the leather near the hinges. It comes with a key!
The hallmarked silver brushes have some damage to the silver (especially the smaller one - please see picture). The brush parts are still good.
The four hallmarked silver topped cut-glass bottles are in very good condition. Some small dings to the silver, but the glass is superb, with no discernable chips.
The shoe-horn/hook is chrome-plated with considerable wear to the plating.
The leather covered mirror is very good.
The genuine mother-of pearl-handled nail-set is very good, but most of the items have wear and rust to the chrome plating.
