Manufacture of earthenware at the Dresden works at an area named Tinkersclough, in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
From 1944 the business was renamed Lancaster & Sandland when, presumably, Sandland became a partner in the company.
The company went into voluntary liquidation in November 1968.
