Can you swim with a 10 ATM watch? In practice, 5 ATM watches are at least splash proof, 10 ATM are waterproof watches and suitable for swimming, and 20 ATM waterproof watches for scuba diving. So 10 atmospheres means the watch can withstand 10 times the pressure at sea level without allowing water in. This is equivalent to being 100m underwater, but moving water exerts more pressure than still, so you couldn't literally dive to 100 meters with it. This Lanco 10ATM Watch can withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 100 meters. Splashes, rain or snow, showering, swimming, diving into water, snorkeling, high-speed water sports etc is all ok.

LANCO: Langendorf Watch Company was a Swiss watchmaker known for its fine craftsmanship and great attention to detail. Around 1890, it was probably the largest producer of watches in the world. The company produced watches in Langendorf, Switzerland for exactly a century, from 1873 to 1973. The most famous brand of the company was Lanco (an abbreviation of Langendorf Watch Company) that was launched as a brand name in the late 1950s. The brand was discontinued in the late 1960s, and revived again from 1971 to around 1980. The brand was successful and known for fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. Lanco watches are still considered to be of very high quality, and they are traded today as vintage watches.
