This is something to preserve. When I cracked open this fruit, I could not imagine what I would be tasting, expecting something sweet. Because sweet things are nice. I have no words. The closest I can come to describing it, is eating those soft sour worms. They grow on a vine that can reach up to 15 meters. They were once the source of most rubber but in the 1900's because they were harvesting and not planting! they nearly drove the Landolphia to extinction.
Fortunately, I have some freshly harvested seeds from this season to share and hopefully one day, Landolphia Heudelotii will once again be our rubber and super delicious delicacy.
The reason for this fruit, not being freshly shared with you, is because they have an extremely short shelf life, hence we are so unfamiliar with it. Imagine your kids can pick sourworm fruits from your vine at the BACK!
