THE TOP IS WOOD AND NOT ORIGINAL. THE BOTTOM COMES OF FOR COAL TO WARM UP THE CONTENTS OF THE POT. SURELY HAS BEEN AROUND IN IT'S LIFE, BUT SUCH AN ATTRACTIVE PIECE. QUITE HEAVY.
