Large Antique Men’s SILVER Pocket Watch

This large pocket watch is approx. 50 mm in diameter and weighs 102 grams. The chain weighs an extra 39 grams for a total weight of 141.3 grams (excluding the windup key). The chain is over 400 mm in length. All the links of the chain is market for sterling silver.

According to an internet source, the silver makers-mark on the chain’s T-bar (J.S*) is by James Slater, London, late 1800's.

The watch is marked for .935 silver (both the back covers are marked as such). It has a glass front.

I do not know how or if the watch works and did not try to wind it up.
