Large Antique Royal Doulton Old English Sayings Plate

This scarce old plate is part of the Old English Sayings series which was in production between 1911-1919. The plate features a lady in the centre with the wording A thing of beauty is a joy for ever. It has a small factory flaw (paint loss) under the glaze on the edge. There is also a little age-related crazing, which is hard to see. Par for those 2 faults, the plate is in excellent condition. It has a yellow hand-written number on the back D3428 and measures 27cm in diameter.
