Large Art Deco style figural lamp with sensual female figure

Offered for sale is a large Art Deco style figural table lamp titled "Victoria" with the central support styled as an exotic sensual female figure with outstretched arms which support two pendant shades. This is a contemporary limited edition, made to order item designed by the artist Alex Veltchev resident in Johannesburg . The lamp is made from a marble dust resin compound with ivorine insets for the face and body and delicate metal chain mail detailing on the arms . The styling of the figure is based on 1920's Art Deco French prototypes by artists such as Gerdago , Phillipe , Bouraine ,Chiparus etc. The exotic costume of the lady is reminiscent of futuristic fashions worn by dancers at the Follies Bergere or early silent movies with a close fitting skull cap/cloche,a  body suit with erotic cut outs and intricate beading and detailing. This is a large statement piece which would complement a well styled contemporary, eclectic home or a period home with antique furniture. The size is approximately 50cm high and  30cm wide. Please allow approximately 7-10 days for delivery as this is a made to order item. The lamp is available with glass shades in a blood orange tangerine colour or sky blue or a colour specified by the buyer .
