Offered for sale is a large ceramic seated  female nude figurine by the Austrian manufactory Gmundner Keramik. The figurine dates to circa the 1940's/50's and is designed and modelled by Alfons Steiner . Similar  examples are listed on Ebay for prices around 165  US dollars . This item is slip cast from a mold and is made from earthenware with a terracotta glaze/paint finish. The figurine has impressed marks on the base viz J2393 probably a manufacturers code for the form/shape. Postage for this item is R140 via Postnet or Courier Guy delivery to major cities in SA. Collection is welcome from Emmerantia Jhb.
