BEAUTIFUL LARGE MOTHER OF PEARL STERLING SILVER RING
AMETHYST GEMSTONE ACCENTS. 925 

This glorious handcrafted piece features a floral design with a distinctly geometric, almost 'stained glass' feel. The shank and base of the piece is sterling silver, and the softly domed 25mm diameter ring head is predominantly a creamy, yellowish Mother of Pearl. The jeweller has used both white and cream natural mother of pearl segments to build the mosiac pattern, adding strongly coloured resin accents of green, purple and white. A scalloped border of sterling silver, shallow, almost triangular petals, studded with round faceted purple amethysts in 3's, 2 x smaller gemstones flanking a larger one in each petal. The simple shank broadens quite quickly from underneath the finger, forking widely below the shoulders to support the large ring head. The openwork adds interest to the piece. The piece weighs a hefty 10.68 grams and bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. On the finger, it has more shine than you can see in the photographs as a result of the highly polished sterling silver spacers used throughout the mosaic pattern and the iridescence of the mother of pearl. An unusual, 'arty' ring - a real statement piece!
