This is a high quality jack knife made by Joseph Rogers of Sheffield in the early 1940s, showing the star and Maltese cross marks, which have been registered since 1682. The blade has the number 21306 engraved. No other markings that we can see.
Both the marlin spike and the blade are very tight, with no movement when open, which is testament to the quality of the workmanship. Some slight pitting on the blade, and the blade has lost its tip.
Length closed about 12cm. Lengh fully opened (blade and spike) about 29cm.
