Large Bronze Jan van Riebeeck Commemorative Medal 1652-1952 : Superb

This large medal weighs 26 grams and is 40 mm in diameter. It’s the size of an old Crown or 5-Shilling piece. The obverse shows Jan van Riebeeck and his wife Maria de la Quellerie. The reverse shows the three ships (Dromedaris, Reijger and Goede Hoop) entering Table Bay on 6 April 1652.
