17th Cent. Alexandrian Rite Church sui juris particular
This beautiful, completely intact cross, is ornate woven with silver amidst cross designed lattice work. Each arm terminates with St. Andrew's Crosses. Embellished each side midline. There are also Knight's Templar crosses and other accented decorations (designs were carried over since the Early Byzantine period, 500AD)
These rare and beautiful crosses were used for ceremonies in the Alexandrian rite Church sui juris particular Church that began during the 2nd Century AD by the Apostle St. Mark out of Alexandria, Egypt; this one is dated just post Medieval during the Renaissance to Late Byzantine period.
This beautiful cross is a hand held antiquity easily displayed or mounted designed, and has a striking appearance.
