A stunning, unique and very large copper tray from the Middle East, with amazing detailed hand-hammered designs.  Research revealed that this vintage tray was made in either Morocco or a Middle Eastern country like Arabia or Persia.  The calligraphy in the middle area indicates Arabic or Persian language, possibly from the Qatar Dynasty or the Mumlak period (1789 to 1925).  This is a rare find in South Africa and an exquisite showpiece.  The tray is heavy (3,2 kg) with thick copper plate.  Size: 63 cm long (without the handles) and 47 cm wide.
