Offered for sale is a beautiful large Globe earthenware bowl in a rare glaze colour , a shell pink /rose pink mottled glaze, semi opaque with stipples and streaks of white glaze. The bowl is a an elegant concave shape with a round slightly convex footed base to counterbalance the design . This is a hand made item thrown on a wheel and made from a red bodied clay. It is quite heavy and thick walled with an opaque flat white glaze on the base/footring. The bowl has a detachable domed frog or rose pierced with holes to secure flower stems for floral arrangements. The bowl is in in good condition; the frog has a glaze frit on the rim.
