This lovely old family Bible is from the 1830's, due to the fact that it was printed by John Childs and Son and at the beginning of the New Testament, it states London: George Virtue, 26, Ivy Lane, Paternoster Row. It is "embellished with many beautiful engravings". It has an original wedding certificate taped onto the front page (the wedding of Zabulon Williams to Elizabeth Jones in Pontmorlais Wales in 1857). It contains the full Apocrypha. Unfortunately the beginning pages are missing and therefore only starts at Genesis XV. Also the back pages are missing, ending at Revelations XIII. The fishmoths have damaged the cover slightly and the pages are browned with age and, it appears, heat. Other than the above, in good condition for a book of about 200 years.
