LARGE NATURAL UNHEATED EMERALD CLUSTER STERLING SILVER RING. 925
This long and striking sterling silver piece features a flat cluster design of oval cut natural emeralds (unheated) set within an elongated pear shape. The emeralds are gorgeous - slightly cloudy with lots of natural inclusions, a light green that is more on the blue end of the scale than yellow; all claw set in sterling silver at varying angles, with interesting openwork between. The ring head is long - 34mm by 18mm wide, and sits on a slender sterling silver shank that holds the cage that supports the gemstones. Underneath each emerald is openwork, all the better to allow light through the gemstone. The ring bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver and weighs a hefty 4,9 grams. An unusual and beautiful piece!
