Large Vintage Mexican Silver Filigree Butterfly Brooch
This large, very attractive, sterling silver butterfly brooch, made around the 1930/40's, has wonderful silver filigree wire work. Although it appears quite fragile, it is actually fairly thick and rigid. It is fitted with a secure rollover safety clasp and is stamped 'MEXICO' on the back. The brooch has no silver marks but has been tested by my jeweller as sterling silver. There seems to be an early repair to the back of the brooch that is not very noticeable, and not noticeable from the front unless pointed out. The brooch has a nice weight of 27,1g and measures 7,6cm x 7,2cm.
All my jewellery is checked by a jeweller in regards to condition (claws, catches, pins etc.) as well as cleaned and polished before listing.
