A large and rather unusual conversation piece. This solid sterling silver comes from South America. The turquoise is typical of Navajo jewellery - its workmanship a testimony to the quality of the Navajo culture and design. The ring itself is "lightly vintage", dating back about 30 / 35 years. The shank is simple polished Sterling silver, measuring 4 mm at the back, flowing around to a broad shoulder of 16 mm where it connects with the ring head in a single flowing line. The ring head measures 3 x 2,3 cm (30 x 23 mm). The central stone is a 15 x 13 mm oval cabochon, softly polished. This is framed by a double layer of round Turquoise cabochons, set pavè style. It is ring size 8 (Q in British and SA sizing) and weighs 11,2 grams. It is hallmarked 925 for sterling silver.
