Large Print of 1897 Photo - Horse Trams in Commissioner Street, JHB

On offer this rarely seen and highly Collectible Africana Item - A large print of a photo taken in 1897 of a Horse Trams in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg. A description in both English and Afrikaans under the photo. This item can be mistaken for a photo as the paper it is printed on has the same sheen as the old photos and the print itself is very old, in good condition with no tears or folds. Measures 43cm wide and 39cm tall. This print was rolled up and weights were placed on the corners to take the photo. This original photo was taken by Barnett's photographic studio in JHB (see: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/jsp/item/Item.jsp?Trade_TradeId=27363830), whose famous photos are held in archive by the Star newspaper.
