Large, retro 1960s 'flower girl' figurine by Elsi Bourelius for Jie Gantofta, Sweden 19 x 8 cm
Elsi Margaret Bourelius b. 1919 - d. 2001) created art pottery between 1965 to 1973 for 'JIE Gantofta', Sweden. Elsie studied ceramic art in Stockholm, at the "Belle Arte" (1929-1934) and in Berlin, throughout 1936. She is considered one of Europe's most important ceramists, and her pieces are in many museaum collections.
