Large Scottish Silver and Malachite Pebble Brooch

The large, antique, sterling silver brooch is set with four, flat, polished, pieces of malachite in a plain, thin, silver surrounds. The pendant is unmarked (as was usual for the period) but tests to be sterling silver. This style of Scottish jewellery, set with semi-precious stones, is generally described as pebble jewellery.
