Art Deco Nestor Rd699159 (1923) heavy duty cast iron crocodile fire tongs made in England
These crocodiles were produced in to sizes, a smaller nutcracker version (common as they were copied all over the world) and this large 40 cm (very rare) version intended for use as fire tongs.
This sculptural conversation piece would look great on any coffee table or mantel and although it was created as fire tongs it still functions perfectly as a nutcracker so it is practical too!
