This is associated with the west on a medicine wheel and is a strong protector of shamans - especially in shape shifting work.  Leopardskin jasper can put you in touch with the Jaguar, Leopard, Panther and Cougar allies in vision quest work.  It helps you focus and listen to your inner voice - and assess situations with clarity. It connects you with your karmic agreements and highlights where those contracts are no longer appropriate and assists in breaking ties where necessary. It reduces insecurity,  heals the body and strengthens a sense of self.
