UNUSUAL STYLISED BAOBAB DESIGN 'TREE OF LIFE' POLISHED STERLING SILVER OPENWORK LARGE PENDANT. COMES ON 44 cm STERLING SILVER CHAIN.
The "tree of life" is a popular design in jewellery right now but this piece caught my eye for being unusual in its style. It has something of an African feel to its design. Definitely still 'Tree of Life' but I would describe it as a stylised Baobab in an openwork design, with no leaves, just branches. The 'Tree of Life' is a symbol of personal growth, strength and beauty , the branches of the tree representing our personal development, uniqueness and constant striving for wisdom. The pendant measures 30 mm in diameter (38 mm if you include the bale and measure from top to bottom). The sterling silver chain is 44 cm (440 mm) and is a simple link design. The sterling silver of the pendant has a distinctly solid feel to it and the whole necklace weighs in at a reassuring 4,84 grams. Both the pendant and the chain are independently hallmarked 925 for sterling silver. An unusual version of the 'Tree of Life'.
