URGOS 1950's MANTLE CLOCK

Westminster chime - all original

Manufactured by Urgos, Black Forest, Germany.

The exact age is unknown, but the styling appears to be 1950's.

Cosmetically it is in a fair condition, with some scuffs and scratches and cracking of the varnish.

There is some glue residue on the dial where someone tried to glue the Urgos logo.

The dial and trim is in good condition and as far as can be determined, the dial, hands, trim and movement are all original, including the glass dial window.

Please note that the clock is being sold as is. It runs, keeps time and chimes well for a while, but never for long periods. One of the springs seems to be over wound.

Bear in mind it will need a service or restoration in order to run perfectly.

This is a great restoration project for any collector of old clocks as Urgos is one of the lesser known clock manufacturers.
