Large vintage Blow LR 458 glass base butter churn - functional. This old glass and metal butter churn would have been manufactured Britain in about 1945. It has two paddles connected to a central stem, which is controlled by a rotating handle in an egg shaped gear box on the metal screw on top. Metal top has a 30mm diameter punched style whey screen in the top. The mechanism is labeled "Blow" is on either side, and "British Regd 856612" on one side. The glass jar is labeled/embossed on the bottom with "Blow" Made in England, LR 458. It is large measuring 36cm high and the bottle 22cm in diameter. The butter churn is in great working condition for its age - no chips or cracks on the bottle. Great buy for your vintage kitchen.
