LARGE VINTAGE COPPER COAL SCUTTLE

With a set of solid brass fire tools

Great addition to a fireplace or any antique themed room!

The scuttle is hand beaten copper, lead seamed and has riveted handles.

A set of three solid brass fire tools are included, although they may not originally have belonged with the scuttle.

There is no damage apart from a dent or two.

The Latin inscription on the front of the scuttle reads "Labor omnia vincit". If I remember correctly, this roughly translates as "work always wins".

There are no markings and the exact age is unknown.
