  VINTAGE STERLING SILVER "PUFFY" HEART PENDANT ON STERLING SILVER CHAIN

This is a rather interesting vintage piece that I bought from my favourite vintage jeweller in London, England. It has the hallmark for sterling silver (925) but no additional hallmarks that could trace its origin or history. The jeweller thought it was probably created in the late 70's. It is quite heavy (8,17 grams) and is quite a sizeable pendant. It measures 34mm from the top of the large chunky sterling silver bale down to the tip of the heart and is 30mm across its width. It is a 'puffy" heart - "fat" if you like! The width of the heart is 13mm. It comes on a vintage Italian sterling silver snake chain of 40 cm. It is a lovely piece with interesting engravings over both surfaces. Due to its vintage age, there are definitely signs of wear and tear in the form of buff marks. However, you have to put it under the magnifying glass to see the marks. Without, its condition is very good. I was drawn to it because of its size. Definitely noticeable, definitely unusual!
