• 1 X Philips head screw driver for outer cover screws
• 1 X Mini size Philips head screwdriver for tiny screw on laser rail
• Soldering iron just to desolder small point as shown in picture below
• Some patience and sturdy hands
• Maximum time of 15 minutes
• An urge to continue playing your PS2 games without having to save up a HUGE amount of money
