The Gecado 27 is a highly collectable Air Rifle. They date back from the 1950's. It is made in Germany. No WB 112611. The model 27 is a rifle for young and old. Size 104cm long. Weight 2,6 kg not too heavy. The front sight is a small pillar and the rear sight an adjustable notch sight. Sight is perfectly aligned you cannot miss. Still in almost mint condition! It shoots very well see photo of tin can. Wood has some scratches and rifle some specks of surface rust on outside. This air rifle is the most successful spring-air pellet rifle in history! It is worth between R1800 and R2200. There was also a model 27 made in the pre-WW2 years they were produced since 1910 in Germany. "Gecado" have been mostly used in British Commonwealth markets - they were common in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa. Note 1:This Air Rifle was one of two bought by my father in the 1960s and used by my brother and I during the 1970s. It has been in my families possession ever since.
