The nearest town is Bela-Bela, well known for its hot mineral springs, game lodges, private game reserves, holiday accommodation, health and beauty spas and selection of self catering and camping resorts, bush lodges and guest houses. Over the years Sondela Nature Reserve has grown to become one of South Africa’s premier privately held nature reserves. The Acasia unit consist of 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6.
Sondela Nature Reserve is not only a wildlife conservation area but also still a working farm and as such a large number of farm animals and farm implements are to be seen on the farmyard.
The delightful laughter and obvious thrill of the young children who flock to feed the various farm animals during feeding times are a pleasure to see. From milking cows to petting the tame sheep or admiring the boastful display of a peacock's feathers, the farmyard offers young kids an experience which they will not easily forget.
