This set apparently came from an officers' mess hall. Made by Allen & Darwin of Sheffield, and showing both the A&D maker's mark, as well as their earlier C.A.S.D. (Charles Allen & Sydny Darwin) mark. 8 hallmarks in total. The ram's heads all date 1892, while the silver collars date 1889. All have antler handles.
The items show signs of glue repair, specifically around the collars, which are usually the thinnest pieces of silver.
Large carving knife - 41cm. Blade is in good condition.
Smaller carving knife - 33cm. Blade has a slight curve to the right.
Sharpener - 33m. Metal stamped CASTSTEEL.
Fork - 33cm. Metal foot/stand flips out, but not very stable.
