An EXCELLENT example of Late 19th Century, English Brass Brewing Hydrometer . This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Gauge/ Temperature scale Relief on  obverse and reverse. All nomenclature present and detailed. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Metallic toning may be evident from age and environmental exposure. 

This piece , represents a late 1800s European, Hydrometer Tool - commonly utilized during the Alcohol Brewing Process ( including Viticulture) in order to determine the weight ( density) of a liquid compared to water at a specific temperature. 

The ideal addition to any Late Victorian Era/ 1800s Brewing instrument collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
